Today is officially the warmest day of the year so far — a glorious 29°C (that’s 84°F for my American friends!) — and I could feel the summer just begging to be welcomed. Naturally, I reached for an outfit that perfectly matches this energy: sunny, soft, fresh, and just a little bit playful.

The Look: A Dose of Yellow Joy ☀️

Let’s talk outfit. I’m wearing this absolutely adorable button-up yellow top, which feels like sunshine on fabric — light, cheerful, and surprisingly elegant. Yellow isn’t a color I usually gravitate to (I've been living in earthy tones lately), but sometimes an exception is so worth it. It reminds me of fresh citrus juice, warm sand, and golden hour all at once. It’s a color that carries happiness.

I paired it with thrifted white linen pants, which are always a favorite of mine for warmer days. Breezy, comfortable, and effortlessly polished. A perfect blank canvas.

But of course, I had to add a twist: lace gloves. Yes! Romantic, vintage-inspired, delicate — they turn a simple outfit into something a little whimsical and unexpected. And on my ears, I wore big floral statement earrings, because if you’re going to flirt with summer, you might as well wear flowers? 🌼

And finally… the shoes. My forever love: Dolce Vita sandals. I discovered this brand while living in the States and working at a high-end boutique that carried them. It was love at first step. Since moving back to Europe, I’ve been on a constant hunt for good pairs, even browsing used ones on Vinted — that’s how deep the obsession runs. These sandals are comfy, stylish, and make any outfit feel a little more “put together.”

Summer’s Beauty... and a Bit of Thunder 🌦️

While today feels like a summer dream, I heard we’re getting some thunderstorms later. And you know, I used to love thunderstorms — the mood, the drama, the excuse to light a lamp and read while rain taps on the windows. But after the traumatic hailstorm we experienced two summers ago at Lago di Garda, I’ve developed a new respect. If you’ve been with me for a while, you might remember that story — our car got totaled by hail while we were in Sirmione. Just like that. Nature can be wild.

So yes, thunderstorms now come with a mix of awe and anxiety. Still, I hope they’ll be gentle. If it gets dark early and I get to curl up with a book and my little lamp, I won’t complain (unless I get a migraine from the pressure shift — hello, fellow hypersensitive babes 😅).

Everyday but Make It Special

This outfit is such a great errand-running look when you want to feel cute and comfortable but also like you made a bit of an effort. The pop of yellow makes everything feel more vibrant, and little details like the gloves and earrings make it feel... you. A little fresh, a little unexpected, a little chic.

Sometimes, even if you're just going out for groceries or a coffee, dressing in something that feels beautiful can totally shift your day. And isn't that what style is about?
