Something Old & Something New

This is usually my philosophy when building the outfit. Not that it's a given rule, but I'm definitely trying to compliment old with new and also the more expensive items with second-hand clothes. Sometimes it works out just awesome! Last week, I went to two Goodwill stores and ended up buying at least 10 new (or old? - ha!) items for super cheap and sort of recycled my old clothes again as well (keeping the closet alive is kind of never ending and fun process). Recently, I did some on-line shopping as well but I focus more on quality and what the stuff is made of. During the #ifchic24 event, I got another skirt for free last month. I've been just regularly and patiently collecting the coins and here I am with this adorable fashion staple! When I was shopping at Macy's a few weeks ago, I saw this unique kind of skirt on the hanger while browsing the clothes, and I'm truly delighted to have something so special in my wardrobe now. For free - LOL! Totally diggin' the soft material as well as the khaki color! For my shopping Sunday, I mixed this new piece with my New York City top, thrifted vintage denim jacket and ankle boots. I was, myself, surprised how great it looked all together. And I gotta say I got a few compliments on that skirt while spending just a few minutes at H&M today! Definitely a stunning must-have for the upcoming autumn season! Can't wait to jump into fall! ♥ Have a fabulous new week you all! xo
