From Frost to Bloom: Photo Diary

As Winter melts into Spring slowly but surely, the world around us transforms in the most beautiful ways. The crisp, icy days give way to soft blossoms, longer sunsets, and that unmistakable feeling of renewal. These past few months, I’ve been capturing little moments—some cozy, some vibrant, all special. And today, I’m sharing them with you. These are snapshots I haven’t posted before (well, unless you’re following me on Instagram—then you might’ve caught a sneak peek). So, grab a cup of tea, scroll through, and join me in this quiet transition from cold to warmth, from winter’s stillness to spring’s soft awakening. 🌸

P.S. Looking at these 30+ photos from my phone now, I’m realizing it’s basically all about food, fashion, and cosmetics. Works for me! 🙈

There’s nothing more beautiful than a morning filled with playful light. I love when the sun rises early, turning my time in the living room into a work of art.

I dressed elegantly for a company photoshoot, and ever since that day, I’ve been embracing that style—more feminine, more polished—and I’m absolutely loving how it makes me feel. Dressing up for yourself is truly worth it!

How ironic? I spotted these (probably) lost items on a sidewalk and couldn’t help but wonder—how do you even let someone know you found their stuff in a big city? In the end, I just left it right there, thinking that if it were me, I’d probably retrace my steps, hoping to find it exactly where I lost it.

Time for a hair refresh! I’ve been going to the same stylist for over a year now, getting highlights every 3–4 months to keep my fine hair healthy and avoid unnecessary damage. Honestly, I love how my hair looks right now, so I don’t see myself experimenting with it anytime soon.

Prague is absolutely stunning—the architecture is unmatched. If you ever find yourself here, just wander the streets and look up—you’ll be amazed by the beauty above you!

I got a vintage typewriter for Christmas, and it’s been my best friend these past few months. On quiet, long evenings, I’d take it out, type away, and—inevitably—mess up. It’s fascinating to think that, back in the day, people had just one shot to get everything right on a single sheet of paper. No delete button, no easy do-over. (Is this really just about the typewriter...? 😊)

Did I ever tell you about the time I scored three amazing winter coats on Vinted for an incredible deal? Well, this is one of them! It’s been my trusty companion all winter, and I’m still wearing it as I transition into spring. Such a great staple!

I’ve also been obsessed with this French beret—it’s just so chic!

Oh, these sunrises! This one was an unforgettable morning view.

My friend, who’s a beauty product enthusiast, recommended this amazing product—it's affordable but delivers serious "beauty magic" (you know what I mean). It’s a blush in a stick, and I usually tap it onto my cheeks and under-eye area with my fingers. It instantly gives a fresh, juicy, youthful look. (Essence, Baby Got Blush)

I guess I’m getting older when I start appreciating old plants. There’s something about them—though you never know how they’ll turn out, they grow so well and strong over time. This monstera blew my mind. I hope to have a stunning, mature plant like that in my home one day too.

Same place, different angle. This is a lovely café for true coffee lovers, even the ones with the highest standards for quality and taste. It’s called Mazelab.coffee, located in Prague’s Dejvice district. Just in case you’re ever around!

And this is how my face looks after my updated makeup routine. It’s my go-to everyday glowy, natural look—done in just 10–15 minutes and it stays put all day. If you're curious about how I do it, check it out on my TikTok!

For my birthday in February, I got this beautiful watch. I’ve been wearing it to work almost every day since then. It’s funny because I’ve never really been into watches or found one I liked, but this has opened up a whole new world for me—and I’m absolutely loving it!

My lovely coworker, who can bake like nobody else (and I seriously mean that!), baked me a birthday cake. It was actually for me and another coworker whose birthday is on the exact same day as mine—she’s just a tiny bit younger, haha! What a coincidence, right? I absolutely loved the cake—it was a caramel cheesecake with fresh forest fruits. Yummy, yum!

Just another selfie in my favorite brown coat, and also rocking my new heart necklace.

A cozy corner of our living room. I think we’re going for "eclectic," and it works perfectly when you blend my style with my boyfriend’s.

My new favorite breakfast: My blood tests were a bit of a wake-up call last time. I know high cholesterol runs in the family genetically, but I truly believe you can improve it with a healthier lifestyle—it’s never just about genetics. And while I love candy, sweets, and cakes (sadly!), I’ve made some changes. Lately, I’ve been having oatmeal for breakfast (in different variations) based on a friend’s recommendation. I’ve also been paying more attention to what I eat and cutting back on sweets.

I remember it perfectly. This was one of the very first sunny days after a long, cold winter. I was at work in our lovely villa, and I couldn’t help but enjoy the warm sun rays streaming through the window. The sun truly is healing!

Well, here’s the spot where I took the previous photo. Isn’t it lovely? We have this little nook with a street view, perfect for chilling during the day, enjoying fresh air, and maybe even sunbathing!

And here’s two minutes of fame for the whole caramel cheesecake (before it was eaten)—would you like a slice?

My female coworkers (the marketing team of 13 amazing women—it's great when you share a space with such hardworking, sweet people) and I went to a Japanese exhibition. It was truly impressive. You might want to check it out because it’s something else!

Chiharu Shiota knows how to make you feel both uncomfortable and in awe at the same time. I couldn’t stop asking myself so many questions while looking at her art—like, how the hell did anyone create this, and how long did it take?! 🤯

Just like this old piano, I felt like I was in a horror movie at certain moments. It was a little depressive but also eye-opening. I had so many emotions, and I think that’s really the whole point of art. So, well done, ma'am!

Moving on to another selfie! I was feeling pretty here. I think a white shirt is such a great staple—it's clean, minimalistic, and doesn’t take away from your face. Also, my makeup was on point that day (at least in my eyes), and I loved my Valentine's nails. I’ve realized that a polished manicure and just feeling great in my skin really boosts my confidence, especially when it comes to work and needing to be assertive at times.

I sent this picture of a stunning, huge cake to my boyfriend and said: 'I want this for my birthday next year'. It’s so not me, or at least the old me. I used to struggle with expressing my desires because I thought they'd just be dismissed (my dad was quite avoidant and distant when I was growing up, so I felt like I’d bother people when I wanted something). Well, not anymore. Get me that cake, sir, and make me happy! 😁

Just another day at work. I really enjoy having a big girl job. I feel like these are my most successful, productive years, and I’m planning on making the best of them. Grateful for all the opportunities life is offering me.

One of my all-time favorite sweet dishes—vanilla dumplings. I make them from scratch, including the cream, and I only do this once a year, but everyone loves it! Czech cuisine has some truly outstanding sweet dishes, let me tell you!

I snatched this Turkish vintage blouse from the '70s on Vinted, along with the retro denim that just makes your butt look amazing! The fit!! Check out a video of this look on my TikTok! And let me know—what’s your best vintage find on Vinted? There are so many goodies, watches, bags, earrings, and so much more!

I’m definitely not a minimalist when it comes to notebooks, scrapbooking, and all things stationery. Oh well, at least I’m journaling, and it’s really helping me heal. Did you know that journaling is a great way to deal with trauma? I love adding photos, pieces of paper I cut out of magazines, old letters, and more. I just wish I had more time to do my scrapbooking regularly. What do you think about my new items?

One of my birthday gifts from my amazing friend was this Korean collagen face mask with two pieces. I left it on for a few hours, and my skin felt glowy, healthy, and nourished. I’ll definitely be repeating it because I loved the elastic, refreshed feeling it gave my skin. (For more info about the mask watch my video.)

On my way to work, I started stopping by this bio shop with so many healthy options. I’m a sucker for their apricot pie, and some days, I pray it’s there when I arrive because I’m craving that taste. This was one of those days—the pie was literally there, waiting for me, smiling when I showed up to pick it up.

Last weekend, the sun was shining, and spring finally showed its power. I was only wearing two layers of clothes, and we went to play mini golf a few villages away. What a perfect way to spend a gorgeous sunny Sunday! And look who stopped by to say hi—a ladybug with 7 dots!

The sign of spring—these flowers say it all. Winter is gone for good, and we’re ready for those warm days! Are you as excited as I am?

After a year of getting lash extensions, I finally decided to give my lashes a break. I do feel kind of strange right now, not having long lashes, but I’ve been using a lash growth serum for the past 4 weeks, so I’m hoping it will improve soon. I’ll just have to get used to using mascara every day, dealing with black eyes when it rains or after the gym. Honestly, I’m not sure if this will be permanent, but I’m going to try to resist the urge to go back.

The newest nail design I went for at the salon: French manicure with this very squared shape. I like it—it’s a big change for me! I’ve been experimenting with different nail styles and shapes to see which ones I feel most comfortable with and which are easiest to live with on a daily basis. What’s your current favorite style and shape?

"Cause I'm too messy and then I'm too f...ing clean... know the song? 🎶

This isn’t how my morning routine usually looks—I was testing out a new makeup here. I’m no longer into that powdery matte look; I’m all about a glowy, fresh, dewy finish now. Check out my Instagram to see what my makeup routines look like! ✨

I’m wishing you a lovely Spring filled with many sun rays and happiness! I’m excited to see what my photo diary will look like next time when it’s warm outside and I can finally bring out all my dresses. Happy Spring, everyone! 🌸🌷☀️
