My Fall Photo Diary (October 2024)

Welcome to My Fall Journal! 🍂

There’s something truly magical about Fall, isn’t there? The crisp air, the golden hues, the comforting routines—it's a season that I love diving into every year. This Fall, I’m embracing each moment, making it a goal to soak up every beautiful sight and cozy experience it offers. From the vibrant reds and yellows of the leaves to the calming rhythm of Autumn activities, it all feels like a breath of fresh air.

In this post, I’m sharing snapshots of my season so far—a collection of moments that capture how I’m experiencing Autumn to the fullest. I hope these photos inspire you to find the beauty in each day, as Fall settles around us in all its rich colors and charm. So, grab a cup of something warm, settle in, and enjoy these glimpses of my second favorite season. 🍁

My best friend Veronika and I visited an amazing restaurant at the beginning of October. I was prepping for my first jewelry market that afternoon, and she had kindly helped me bring some things to the venue the day before—so thoughtful of her! Afterward, we got hungry, and she introduced me to Dim Sum Spot dumpling place, which was a first for me! I have to say, it was beyond delicious. I had a lunch menu with eight dumplings, tofu broth, and a fantastic cherry lemonade. I’ll definitely be going back!

These were my very first markets with my handmade jewelry line, ViolkaBeads. I shared some professional photos from that day in a previous post—here’s the link. It was such a wonderful experience meeting people who love my creations. I knew right away that I wanted to keep doing this because it truly gives me life!

One early fall day in October, after a week of nonstop rain and storms, we finally stepped outside into the garden and discovered three tiny kittens hiding in our BBQ shed. They were so small, so cute, but also very shy. I put out some food and tried to befriend them, but by the next morning, they were gone. A week later, I found out that they had moved to a nearby garden and had since been adopted. I’m so happy they found homes, but I still miss their little faces around here.

And here we go again! My second market with ViolkaBeads—this time at the popular MINT Market along the Vltava River in my hometown, Prague. Once again, it was an amazing experience! So many of you stopped by my little booth to try on my jewelry, and nothing makes me happier than seeing the sparkle in your eyes when you purchase something I created. Thank you all for your incredible support! I’ll be attending more markets next year, likely in the spring, so stay tuned!

Here’s a little life hack: we recently started planning our menu for the upcoming week and buying ingredients based on that every Sunday. This way, we have full control over what we’ll cook and what we need, saving both time and money by avoiding constant trips to the grocery store. This week, I made homemade pizza from scratch—with yeast, tomato passata, and so many delicious toppings. It turned out amazing!

Seeing my creations worn around your neck is the greatest gift I could receive.

Press-on nails that fell off after five minutes—but hey, at least they looked good for the pictures, lol! I’m really struggling with nails right now; my own natural nails aren’t great quality, but it’s probably also because I was using fake nails for a year. Now I need to be patient and let them grow strong again. Still, I really want nice, long nails to match my vibe in the meantime. Oh jeez, these little problems feel so silly!

Oh, how I love fall activities! This time, my friend got me into making scented soy wax melts with dried flowers, and I enjoyed every second of it. They turned out beautifully! I especially loved the scent called "Macocha," created by TvojeSvicka, which is also available as a candle. Definitely check it out!

The workshop took place in this gorgeous garden center (Jan Diviš) that often hosts events like this. It was my second time attending an event there, and I’ll definitely be checking their schedule for more—it's always such a lovely experience!

Pumpkins everywhere!

Baking gingerbread cookies with these two little helpers.

Nothing beats homemade bread made from scratch!

Just wondering: How far in advance do you all carve your pumpkins? These two beauties only lasted about 3–4 days, and it wasn’t even that warm outside. Such a shame! Next year, I’ll make sure to carve them closer to Halloween. If you have any tips on how to keep them looking nice and mold-free, I would really appreciate it, lol!

Trying on one of the custom necklaces I made for my friend! She already has a piece from my ViolkaBeads collection but wanted something a bit more fall-inspired with an Aquarius twist. Since we’re both very spiritual—hello, my fellow Aquarians—I created this piece as if I were making it for myself. She loved it!

What a bargain! I visited a local thrift store called Textile House on Lidická Street in Prague and had my eye on three sweaters (the hat was purchased at another branch for just 80 CZK!). Then the cashier announced, “Happy Hour, everyone! Everything is 30% off!” I didn’t hesitate and grabbed all the sweaters I was holding. They only cost a total of 510 CZK, making it the deal of the year! I’m ready for the cold days ahead! (P.S. My boyfriend “borrowed” the one on the left, lol! But to be fair, it is a men's sweater, so I can’t be too upset. I might just have to borrow it back occasionally!)

And let’s finish with the start of the next season: the holiday season! It's already making an appearance in malls and certain stores, and I’m loving it. I never know what to do with myself when I see Christmas goodies because I want it all! I wish I could immerse myself in the spirit of Christmas every day. I just adore the festive vibe, and I can’t wait for the Christmas decorations, the smell of holiday cookies, and the scent of fresh balsam candles filling my home. Is there anything you love? Let me know!
